By paying for your funeral at the time, your loved ones will be paying considerably more as it is classed as an ‘at need’ request. It makes sense to lock the price in now so when the time comes, we cover the payment and we arrange EVERYTHING with the Funeral Director.
Of course, whenever you like. If you wish to upgrade, simply pay the difference and the 14-Year refund commitment will remain constant. If you wish to downgrade, please advise us in writing and we will carry out your request on receipt of the instruction. You will be eligible for a refund or altered monthly payments. We charge €75 per plan to downgrade plans.

It happens! This is why we always recommend depositing the documentation into your fully secure, password- protected client portal as it means these important documents can never be lost, but for those that have requested paper copies, these can be replaced free of charge, just contact our client care team. However, because of their nature, we do charge €75 to replace the refund certificate(s). In line with LOPD guidelines, please also be aware that we conduct further investigations and due diligence on refund claims that have had certificates replaced. This is to safeguard us and our planholders from possible fraud. (T&Cs apply).
Lots of people confuse the two. Funeral Insurance pays the family a set figure on the death of the policy holder. The policy holder can be left paying for this policy for years and in many instances has paid substantially more than the actual cost of the chosen funeral. IMPORTANTLY, the family are left to handle the funeral arrangements.
As a full payer you are covered immediately. As a monthly payer, you are covered immediately, however, your family and/or next of kin will need to clear any outstanding balances to enable us to fulfil the contract, otherwise, we will refund payments made less our Cancellation Fee, leaving your family to make alternative arrangements.
Yes, and there are no charges for doing so! If you are able to pay off your plan within 90 days of creating it, your plan will be considered a Full Paying Plan, and you will receive the FULL privileges package. This means your loved ones will benefit from the Legacy Commitment (T & Cs apply).
No problem – simply advise us of your change of address by contacting us at clientcare@claritaespana.com. LOPD guidelines require us to request evidence that you have changed address (a letter from a lawyer confirming the move or similar). Likewise, if you marry, divorce or separate, we will need to see evidence of this too. We want to ensure that our service is the very best available and that refunds are made to those who are entitled to them (T&Cs apply).
Yes. To assist people, we operate a ‘Transfer-In’ policy when you purchase one of our plans and pay in full. Please be aware that your plan provider will charge you a cancellation fee. However, we will reimburse the cancellation fee from your previous provider on receipt of proof of charges which we will verify. We refund the lesser of either the cancellation fee stipulated on their website or in the ‘Confirmation of cancellation letter’ that will be sent to you (T&Cs apply).
As an environmentally aware company, we prefer to send our documents to you via email. As soon as you have created a plan and either paid for it in full or the required deposit has been received, your plan documentation will be created. Please keep your plan documentation safe, perhaps with your other legal paper. You will receive two Clarita Espana Care Cards – one to be put into your purse or wallet for safekeeping, the other to be given to your Next of Kin so they are aware what happens in the event of your passing. If you have opted for postal documentation, your plan holder pack as discussed above, will be released with 5 working days and the Clarita Espana Care cards will be sent under separate cover. No one should have to arrange their child’s or grandchild’s funeral. Thankfully, it‘s a rare occurrence but tragically for some, it is reality. At such times families come together to care and support each other and as a plan holder of Clarita Espana Funeral Plans, your Clarita family will support you too. For every full paying plan taken out, we will provide a clarity Plan, with no Privileges for a child or grandchild, that will protect them till their 18th birthday. It will automatically close out at this time and they will be invited to purchase a plan with several Privilege packages. If the Clarity Plan isn’t suitable, a Tranquility or Serenity plan can be provided at a heavily discounted rate.
You have a full 21 days to decide whether the plan is suitable for your needs. If you decide it isn’t, simply complete the cancellation form and either send it to us or send it to clientcare@claritaespana.com. If you cancel within the 21-day Consideration Period, you will receive a full refund with 72 hours. If you cancel after the 21-day Consideration Period, you will be charged a cancellation fee of €350 to cover administration costs. (T&Cs apply).

We understand that life throws curve balls and that you may not be able to keep to your arrangements. Please call us and we will work with you to find a mutually acceptable solution. If we don’t hear from you, we may have to cancel your plan and charge you a cancellation fee (T&Cs apply).
